Care, Cleaning & MaintenanceCare, Cleaning and Maintenance

Generally speaking all of your outdoor and marine fabrics, zippers, and fittings should be kept free of salt water. It is good practice to rinse them with fresh water often. If you are able to protect your belongings from the sun either by covering them or by applying protective products to them, you will extend the life of your canvas, cushions, & awnings, as well.

Generic Clear vinyl glass

Vinyl glass windows should not be left in their rolled up position for prolonged periods of time. All glass products should be kept clean and free of abrasives. Boat canvas and glass should be cleaned and stored properly. If they are not, the life span will be significantly reduced.

Vinyl glass will not withstand freezing temperatures for prolonged periods of time. When storing the clear vinyl glass, make sure it is placed in a dry heated area. Some glass should be hung or stored flat, while others can be rolled up with old sheets between each layer.

Rinse canvas and glass with fresh water to remove salt and debris. Polish with Aquatech or IMAR polish periodically to help glass shed pollutants, salt, etc. Use Aquatech or IMAR cleaner/protectant as needed to remove fingerprints, etc. Do not use other products or you may harm the glass. NOTE: Sunscreen will damage the clear vinyl.
